Cleanse Phase OVER. :)
All right, it’s now Day 11, I’m onto the second phase of the challenge and really excited. My results after completing the cleanse is 5 lbs lost and 7”. I’m happy about this, but it probably could have been better if I worked out more. My schedule has been really busy and all I really did was videos at home. I need to start running more these next 14 days and lifting more weights. Cardio seems to be my best friend and makes me feel so good. Time to get back at it a little harder!
Shaun completed the cleanse phase and feels great. I don’t have his measurements yet, but I know he lost at least 5 lbs. He is out of town this weekend spending some time with friends. I love that he has such good friends and they always have fun together…and I especially love that I trust everyone and never worry when he’s out having “guy” fun. It’s nice to be in a 100% trusting relationship. I used to worry in past relationships, but not with Shaun. He’s my best friend and I know he would never hurt me. Love him <3. He’s not going to go on with the rest of the challenge, but he will continue to use Spark and Catalyst (at least), as well as be more conscious of what he’s eating. He works out like a maniac at the gym and he already looks more toned. We want to order an AdvoCare product called “Carb-Ease” for when we eat pasta, breads, etc. This product helps reduce the absorption and breakdown of carbs and fats, and helps reduce the negative effects of excessive carb consumption. I am still avoiding carbs, but once I reach my goal weight I will enjoy pasta and bread again (MODERATION), but this product should help with that.
I’m working all weekend at McGlinn’s, which I am happy about because I need to save more $ for Cabo! Getting there…If I projected right I will be able to buy my ticket in mid September. We are SO excited…have I mentioned that yet? ;) Haha.
I’m counting down the days to Labor Day Weekend. My family is heading down to the beautiful South Bend to visit Shaun’s family on Rose Ranch. Shaun took 2 days off and I got my Friday shift covered (Thanks Augie!) so we get to leave Wednesday night. It’s going to be AWESOME. Even baby Crosby is making the trek! I haven’t been there in way too long…I love Shaun’s home and when I’m there I never want to leave! Here’s a few pictures of their property.
Their front yard, no big deal.
Out for a walk with Shaun & Jessie (their lab)!
Shaun and I sneaking up on some Elk, this is right when they heard us. OFF!
Anyway, can you tell I love it there?! I can't wait to go back...every time we go, I always make Shaun promise to take me to put my feet in the ocean...he promised, and I am excited!
Just recently I had a job interview at the Juvenile Detention Center in Ephrata. After my internship with the Department of Children and Family Services, I found a passion working with troubled youth. I changed cell phone numbers recently and apparently they have been trying to contact me...I feel blessed that they got in touch with me and I did not miss this opportunity! I didn't know what to expect for this interview, but I walked into a room with several people...intimidated? Yes, a little. They asked me all sorts of questions and I felt VERY confident in my answers. We laughed, got to know each other, and I felt like it "clicked". They all shook my hand with a big smile at the end, and the boss man said he would give me an answer by early next week. It would start as an "on call" position...this doesn't allow me to receive benefits, vacation, or anything yet. I asked them if this job will eventually turn into a full time position with full benefits, etc. They all shook their heads "yes" and told me that several people are retiring soon. They basically told me that this is an excellent position to have, and they all started right where I was sitting. This gave me hope that I finally found somewhere to work that will turn into a career. I asked them if working on a Master's Degree will be possible, and they said, "definitely!" Ahhh I just want an answer, but I need to be patient! :) I have a good feeling about this. I usually trust my gut, and I felt like it went very well. We'll see...
Pray for me! :)
Any who, I cannot wait to kill the next phase of this challenge...bring it on! I'm thinking about hosting a mixer here at mi casa pretty soon, or in Wenatchee. I'd love some feedback on who would be interested in attending! They are VERY informational and inspiring :)
Time to get on with my day! Working all night at McGlinn's, come visit me!!
XOXO
Emma
