All right, day seven is here and I am feeling awesome. I can’t express enough how much I LOVE the 24-Day Challenge. I’m the kind of person who needs structure, and a checklist to use. The program is SO easy to follow with preparation and focus. I’m having so much fun having Shaun along for the ride, it just shows me that he supports my new lifestyle and wants to be a part of it.
I have lost 4 lbs so far since I started on Wednesday. I knew when I signed up for all this that it wasn’t going to be a “quick” fix. To date, I have now lost 21 lbs and six dress sizes. I posted that on Facebook and someone said, “You must be skin and bones!” It sounds like a lot, but if you saw my before picture, you would see that there was significant weight I needed to lose. Many people have said that they don’t see why I need to lose so much weight, but like I’ve said before, I’m tall and I have been able to hide my weight VERY well…but I got tired of hiding and I wanted to actually DO something about it. A healthy weight for my body type is between 145-150 lbs, and I now weigh 169. I’m getting there, and I don’t think it would be possible without AdvoCare products. I tried on a size four dress yesterday, and it fit perfectly. I cried in the dressing room because I am just so happy. Hard work really does pay off, and I’m proud to say that I’ve been doing just that. No better feeling in the world than feeling good about yourself, loved, and supported.
I have been reflecting a lot lately, especially about my relationship with Shaun. It makes me smile to know that he has loved me the same throughout our entire relationship…he never made me feel bad for the way I looked, and never wanted to hurt my feelings. Now that I’ve lost this weight so far, he is constantly complimenting me and I can tell that he is proud of me. Our relationship is only getting stronger, and I truly believe it’s because I’m happier with myself. I used to come home from work, and want to sleep. I watched a lot of TV and didn’t get things done that needed to get done. Now I have a “Let’s do this!” attitude and I love it. I have never thought I was ugly or anything like that…but it is empowering to actually want to be in pictures again, and look in the mirror proudly.
What’s new in our lives? Well, Shaun just bought a new fishing boat! It’s awesome and I know we’re going to get a lot of great use out of it! It’s a 18’ smoker craft. He was looking around, and I told him that the only important factor for me is that I have a comfortable place to take a nap and/or read my book during those long days he wants to fish all day. I like to fish, but only for a little while. I get bored, cold, etc. He held up to his promise and there is plenty of space for me to relax with Griffin and watch Shaun do what he loves! He is trying to build credit to buy a house right now. He has great credit, just not enough of a history. I think we have officially decided that this is where we want to be living, just not right where we are right now. I love it out here, and I will be happy out in the country, or at least out of this neighborhood, as long as we’re together.
My new Captain- :)
I’m saving as much as I possibly can for Mexico in my sweet tip jar. The picture on the front is when my sister and I went down two years ago, drinking beers on the beach. Motivation to get back there again, because it’s a little slice of heaven! I hear you learn a lot about the person you’re with when you travel together…that may be so, but I can hardly wait!
Sunday was great, we were SO sunned out and bummed that we got skunked fishing, but nonetheless, it was great to be out on the new boat. We got home and hopped in the jeep in search of food! We were CRAVING Wok About, but realized that it is closed on Sunday's...dang. So we went to McGlinn's and had a great time. I slept like a baby that night and it felt so good!
I jammed my fingers last weekend playing football at Watershed, so typing is seriously killing my left fingers. I’m off for the day, I’ll check in soon! :)
Favorite meal this week so far:

I found this lady’s website and I love it! I can’t wait to try more of her stuff. I had to make a few modifications to keep it “Challenge” approved, but they were fantastic. I love trying new things and being rewarded when it tastes awesome!
Have a good day!
